Join us in celebrating Clarence Avant’s 2024 induction into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. Raised in Greensboro, NC, Avant was a legendary behind the scenes player, his work as a manager, label runner, and deal-broker earning him the moniker of “The Black Godfather.” Presidents Carter, Clinton and Obama all sought council and friendship from Avant.
