North Carolina's Rhiannon Giddens is many things -- a founding member of old-time revivalists The Carolina Chocolate Drops, an acclaimed banjo player, fiddler and singer, Pulitzer Prize for Music winner for the opera *Omar,* MacArthur Genius Grant winner, and host of her own PBS show. And from April 25-27 in Durham, she'll add festival head to her long list of accomplishments: *Biscuits & Banjos* will be a jam-packed celebration of Black music, art and culture. In this reel, Giddens briefly describes the early draw of narrative music, her appreciation for Western NC ballad singer Sheila Kay Adams, and the significance of the 1898 Wilmington Massacre to her work.
