Good news! The deadline for North Carolina Award nominations has been extended to April 15th. The NC Awards recognize notable accomplishments by North Carolinians in the fields of literature, science, fine arts, and public service. One of last year’s recipients were folk-rock superstars The Avett Brothers (@theavettbrothers), who hail from Concord, NC. Historically, the award’s been given to a number of prominent musicians in our state, from James Taylor and Etta Baker to Branford Marsalis and Doc Watson.
