Singer-songwriter, poet and painter David Childers will be inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame this year alongside five other musical luminaries. A full-time lawyer turned writer-performer, law’s loss was music’s gain, as Childers has recorded over a dozen highly regarded well-crafted and poignant records including RUN SKELETON RUN and SERPENTS OF REFORMATION. The Holly Springs resident has worked with members of The Avett Brothers, played the main stage at Merlefest, and toured the US and Europe. In this reel, he can be heard performing his composition “Don’t Be Scared.”
